The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. My general philosophy on photography: It's an ugly world, but it's really important to me to try to show beauty where it isn't normally perceived, which is why I have taken photos of snow, frozen raindrops, decaying leaves, weeds from my yard, etc. When looked at closely enough, they are all quite beautiful. The ultimate goal is to try to make people look past preconceived notions or prejudices and be more open and aware. While I'm doing that, I'm trying to remind myself to view my world in that way. More specifically, I'm interested in expressionism, not just conveying a subject, but conveying how the subject makes me feel.
